Penha Longa is a fairy tales resort situated in Sintra, only 30 minutes from Lisbon. The Penha Longa forms part of the Protected Landscape Area of Sintra and Cascais.
Quinta da Penha Longa is a relevant historical site because the first monastery of the Order of St. Jerome was built there in 1355.
A good complement to the Atlantico
The Mosteiro, 9-hole gold course, benefits from the amazing landscapes of Penha Longa. It is less undulating than the Atlantico, championship golf course, and so presents fewer difficulties for the player. Nevertheless, this is not an easy 9-holes and it is a golf course that requires high handicaps and challenges players with its fast greens and narrow fairways.

How to get there?
Take the A5 direction Cascais. Exit Sintra and follow direction Sintra. You will pass the Cascais Shopping (right), keep straight; then you will cross 3 round-abouts, keep straight. On the 4th, take the inverse direction, you will find a sign Penha Longa, then turn right. After 500m the entrance will be on your left. |
